USAID's Decentralized Basic Education 2 (DBE 2) Program seeks to improve the quality of teaching and learning in Indonesia's public and private sector primary schools. DBE is based on successful aspects of existing efforts to improve educational quality and seeks to leverage these efforts by focusing more on teacher training and the learning environment. An intricate combination of teacher training, school-based management, classroom materials development, civic education and service learning, university partnerships and ICT strategies will be implemented to strengthen Indonesia's primary education system, ensuring that Indonesian youth have the knowledge necessary to compete in the global economy.

Position Description
Education Development Center is seeking an Administrative/Procurement Assistant for a USAID-funded basic education project office located at Unsyiah FKIP - Banda Aceh.
The Administrative/Procurement Assistant works with Procurement Officer and Unsyiah FKIP Program Coordinator to ensure function of Administrative/Procurement area.
The Administrative/Procurement Assistant reports to the FKIP Program Coordinator.
The position is based in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, with a contract basis.
Required Job Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years administrative/procurement experience, preferably with large-scale international projects
- Bachelors degree or 5 years administrative/procurement experience required
- Successful experience working in a diverse, face-paced environment
- Excellent computer and typing skills including, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook exchange email system
- Versed in office administration duties including faxing, photocopying, answering phones, arranging meetings
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian required.
