THE ASEAN SECRETARIAT INVITES INDONESIAN CITIZENS AND ASEAN NATIONALS WITH PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS IN INDONESIA TO APPLY FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION

*CHIEF SECURITY*


Currently, ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) is looking for a qualified candidate to
fill the position of Chief Security at HRD, Admin, Protocol & Conference
Services Division, Corporate Affairs Directorate, Community & Corporate
Affairs (CCA) Department.**



*Duties and Responsibilities:*



The Chief Security’s duties will cover, but not limited to, the following:

1. Manage and supervise all matter related to security of ASEC premises
and compounds including Secretary-General’s residence and ASEC employees as
well as special escort to/from the bank for finance personnel who are
carrying organisation money.

2. Response to emergencies affecting the safety of the premises and notifies supervisors.

3. Develop and improve ASEC’s security system by implementing and
continuous improvement of the “the Training and Development of ASEC Security
Unit Program”.

4. Develop and manage the tasks of security guard (24 hours with 8
working hours for every shift).

5. Update security information, primarily related to ASEC in order to
conduct “the early warning system”.

6. Develop, manage, and improve visitor system and procedure of ASEC.

7. Conduct and coordinate the security management development activities
to improve the quality of security system in ASEC.

8. Receive and evaluate daily report of every shift and give solution
for problems that occur or if necessary advice / direction from Chief of
Personnel and Training.

9. Manage relationship with the Police Department to support the quality of ASEC security.


***Requirements: *


§ Diploma degree in science or other related fields from a reputable
university

§ Completion of appropriate technical or other training relevant to the
position.

§ A minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in technical role.

§ Certified security training from the authorities.

§ Medically certified to be able to perform duties.

§ Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

§ Ability to operate as an effective team member.

§ Good command of English, written and spoken.



*General qualifications: *

Competency in computer skills with adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office
and Outlook where relevant to the position; ability to multi-task, work long
and irregular hours, and perform outside the usual job scope; ability to
function effectively independently and as part of a team.



*Remuneration and Benefits:*

Successful candidate will be offered the post with a probation period of six
months and an attractive monthly salary commensurate with his/her personal
qualifications. There are other applicable benefits which include monthly
transportation allowance, outpatient medical reimbursement, hospitalisation
insurance and an annual bonus of a month’s basic salary. Upon completion of
the probationary period, the candidate will be confirmed as Chief Security
for a three-year contract, inclusive of the six-month probationary period,
in the first instance.
