The Learning Assistance Program for Islamic Schools (LAPIS) supported by the
Australian Government, aims to contribute to the quality of Islamic basic
education in Indonesia.



We are seeking applications from experienced people for two positions within
the team for Program Officer roles. One role will be for a Specialist
Modules and Materials Officer and the other a General Program Officer
position. Each position will commence in early November and continue to
April 2010. The Terms of Reference for these roles are available at

The minimum requirements for these positions are:-

* Experience in working within or a tertiary graduate from the Islamic
schools sector.

* Strong interpersonal and oral and written communications skills at a
very high level;

* Experience of working in development projects as Program Officer or
equivalent, preferably in Indonesia;

* Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (oral and written).
