Established in 1888 Arbeiter-Samariter- Bund (ASB) is one of Germany’s longest established
and largest social welfare organisations. ASB entered Indonesia following 2006 Yogyakarta
earthquake and has established projects in emergency relief; reconstruction and
training; information and outreach; disaster preparedness and livelihoods sectors. ASB is a key player in disaster risk reduction education and a regional leader in providing innovative DRR services and solutions to people with disabilities.
ASB is currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified and committed individuals for
the following position:
Temporary Project Manager (Maternity leave replacement)
Location:Yogyakarta Office, Indonesia (occasional travel in-country)
Duration: 3 to 4 months full-time (depending on availability)
Start: June 2009

Summary of job profile/responsibil ities:
Oversee and manage team to deliver inclusive education project in partnership with local education authorities to agreed goals and timeframe.
Project management cycle and financial monitoring, reporting excellent documentation are central to the position.
Key requirements:
1. Advanced degree in development studies, disability studies or related field.
2. Minimum 4 years of related experience with a track record of donor-funded project
delivery.
3. Excellent project cycle and financial management skills required. Experience of working
with EC funding streams an advantage.
4. Excellent communication and first-rate reporting skills.
5. Excellent organisational skills.
6. Fluency in English and BahasaIndonesia.
7. Sound understanding of disability and inclusion.
8. Firm understanding of Indonesian political structure and implications of regional
autonomy to programme delivery.
9. Solid understanding of Indonesian education system including special needs and
inclusive education.
10. Training/teaching experience an advantage.
11. Coaching and team building skills an advantage.
