*Background:*

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretariat is the nerve
centre of ASEAN, a regional inter-governmental organisation founded in 1967,
to promote peace and stability, sustained economic growth, shared
prosperity and social progress. It comprises the ten countries of Southeast
Asia. The entry into force of the ASEAN Charter on 15 December 2008 has
provided new impetus to ASEAN’s integration efforts by establishing a legal
and institutional framework required to achieve the ASEAN Community by 2015.
This includes the newly approved organisational structure of the ASEAN
Secretariat
that is aligned to the requirements of the Charter and the three
Blueprints of the ASEAN Political- Security Community (APSC), ASEAN Economic
Community (AEC), and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC). The ASEAN
Secretariat is therefore well positioned to provide the necessary functions
required to effectively support the community building process under the
Charter and the Blueprints.



Currently, the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) is looking for suitable candidates
to fill the vacancy of *System and Network Administrator Technical Officer *to
responsible for all network operation system in ASEC, plans, designs, and
install data transmission network to support data processing system and the
enforcement of hardware, software, and network system.



*Duties and Responsibilities:*

The System and Network Administrator Technical Officer’s duties will cover,
but not limited to, the following:

1. Evaluate, develop, and maintain data communication system as well as
analysing data communication problems and providing solution actions.

2. Develop documentation of data communication system to be used in
controlling, modifying, and maintaining ASEC database and security access.

3. Prepare instructional material for both system development and
operational support teams that describe impacts from the changes in the IT
system.

4. Day-to-day maintain and support internal IT system environment such as
networking system (LAN, Wireless, VPN), servers (Windows or Linux), email
system, firewall system and blackberry system.

5. Ensure adequate security system is in place such as anti-hacking, spam,
virus, and etc.

6. Ensure adequate hardware is in place for current IT system use and future
growth including storage space, memory, CPU usage, and network communication
speed/response time.

7. Perform backup and recovery as necessary in case of system failure or
disaster, including implementing proper disaster recovery plans.

8. Maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.

9. Develop and maintain appropriate procedural, functional, and technical
documentation.

10. Monitor IT system to ensure consistent performance.



*Requirements:*

􀂃 Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology, information
management systems or a related field.

􀂃 A minimum of three (3) years work experience as IT system or network
administrator
.

􀂃 Have good knowledge and experience in maintenance or support of Windows
Server
(2003/2008), DNS, Firewall, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft
Exchange
(2003/2007), Network Load Balancing and Clustering.

􀂃 Have good knowledge and experience in networking system (LAN, Wireless,
VPN), Cisco management and administration.

􀂃 Have good knowledge and experience in backup management and storage
system

􀂃 Sound knowledge in Blackberry Enterprise Server is preferable.

􀂃 Have good troubleshooting skills.

􀂃 Demonstrated knowledge and policy, research and technical skills in the
relevant area.

􀂃 Sound oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal
skills, including experience in cross-cultural environment and international
settings.

􀂃 Excellent command of English, written and spoken.

Ability to multi-task, work long and irregular hours, and perform outside
the usual job scope; and ability to function effectively independently and
as part of a team.



*Remuneration and Benefits:*

Successful candidate will be offered the post with a probation period of six
months and monthly salary commensurate with his/her personal qualifications
starting from IDR 5,000,000. There are other applicable benefits which
include monthly transportation allowance, outpatient medical reimbursement,
hospitalisation insurance and an annual bonus of a month’s basic salary.
Upon completion of the probationary period, the candidate will be confirmed
for up to three-year contract, inclusive of the six-month probationary
period
, in the first instance.

We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced personnel for a position in our Jakarta Representative Office. This position will focus on IT Support to Cardno Acil Jakarta Office.

POSITION: IT Support Officer (Full-time)

POSITION PURPOSE
The IT Support Officer will provide support, development, maintenance and administrative services to users of Cardno ACIL Jakarta Office desktop and network systems and other IT duties as directed by the manager.

Responsibilities
• First point of contact for all IT related enquiries for the Program and other ACIL projects.
• Establishment and maintenance of IT infrastructure within Cardno Global IT guidelines (e.g. local and wide area network cabling infrastructure, network communication devices, file and application services and PCs, printer and other IT hardware and software).
• Installation of software within Cardno Gloabl iT licensing programes
• IT Asset Management and procurement
• Adhere to Cardno Global IT standards for systems, security and data backup/recovery. Including; antivirus systems, data backup systems, firewall systems, physical access controls, controlled data archival processes, system capacity monitoring and management.
• Develop and implement basic desktop usage standards, manage regular usage audits across desktop and network environments and advise of deviations from standards.

Applicants should have the following experience and qualifications:
1. Sound knowledge of current desktop applications including MS Window XP and MS Office 2007.
2. Sound knowledge of Local Area Networking, Internet provision, firewall and security practices.
3. Sound knowledge of Microsoft File Server Operating Systems, Win2003 server.
4. Demonstrated ability to develop and effectively implement network management and usage procedures.
5. Demonstrated ability to use a systematic approach to problem solving and decision making.
6. High level of verbal and written communication skills in English and Indonesian.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills including a proven ability to work effectively in a small team environment locally with reporting lines globally.
8. Relevant tertiary qualifications.
9. 5 years IT work experience.
10. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).
