SAFETY OFFICER (project Based)

SAFETY OFFICER (project Based)

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the implementation and control of all site related
safety matters associated with specific projects as designated by
the Project / Site / HSE Manager.

Responsibilities:
· On site control of all safety related matters for projects.
· Develops, Implementation and control of project safety plan.
· Identification and assessment of on-site hazards.
· Accident / Incident reporting and preparation of Site
Monthly Safety Report.
· Provides tool box, induction talks and attendance of progress
and safety meeting.
· Control safety matters pertaining to sub-contractors
· Client safety liaison
· Assistance with day to day for safe working practice for construction
· Perform role of secretary in the site safety & health committee.

Requirements:
· Diploma or Bachelor Degree from Civil, Technical or Occupational
Safety & Health
· Experience as HSE Officer Position minimum 1 year, preferable in
construction.
· Familiar with OHSAS 18001:2007
· Certified Safety Expert in Construction is an advantage
· Have experience as a leader will be an advantage
· Good communication
· Able to operate computer
· Excellent in Bahasa Indonesia and understand English will be preferably.

DRR - PROJECT OFFICER

Post Title: DRR PROJECT OFFICER
Location/Duty Station: Jakarta
Starting Date: Immediately
Contract Determined 1.5 month, possible to be extended

Responsibilities:

· Support networking and Coordination
- Research and compilation of information on key stakeholders
involved in Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaption
- Verification and clarification of the information circuit and
diffusion of information to the different stakeholders

· Research and dissemination of information
- Research of information, field visits if required,
interviews with key stakeholders, data collection and compilation
- Preparation and dissemination of information to the team
enabling visibility on key documents, key people and key institutions
- Possible assistance for the preparation of CCA and DRR tools;

· Support the DRR Advisor
- Monitoring climate change impacts and disaster events in Indonesia
- Field visits at times

Desired Qualifications :
* Indonesian citizen, good knowledge on the development context of
the country, familiar with local institutions,
* University Degree in Social Science, Political Sc. Or, development
related field., a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
* Experience in research oriented work on Disaster
Risk Reduction or, Climate Change Adaptation
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to build and develop networks with various stakeholders
* Patient, able to overcome conflicts and adapt speech,
communication skills
* Excellent skills in liaising/ networking with local authorities
preferable,
* Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia and thorough writing skills,
* Knowledge and experience in statistics
* Computer

Skills: Well-managed on emails, Familiar in accessing various websites,
excellent skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access) and other
analytical software would be an advantage,
* Precise, synthetic and receptive
* Well organized, reliable, punctual,
* Autonomous
individual with a demonstrated capacity to work under pressure,

Location : Kupang, NTT with travel across the province

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the line management of the Project Manager, the Project Officer will be responsible for building network with local authorities as well as other stakeholders in community to provide capacity building for Disability People’s Organization in Indonesia in particular regarding:

* To represent the project in front of local partners and authorities
* To Identify local resources in his/her area of work (local INGO, CBO, persons, consultants, Civil Society Organizations, etc)
* To map and report the needs of DPO(s) based on project’s objectives in Kupang and NTT province or other areas as requested
* To organize trainings and other activities related to project with coordination with the team
* To prepare and maintain the partnership relation with third parties/stakeholders
* To develop curriculum as final result of facilitation and consultation process
* To contribute in organizational building knowledge


PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor Degree in Sociology or other relevant social major
* Experience in minimum 3 years in development/social project with national/international organization
* Experience in curriculum development and facilitation skill are an advantage
* Strong communication skill
* Fluency in English is essential

Initial contract will be for a period 12 months.

1. Project Officer – Maluku Economic Recovery Program II (MERP II)
Project Officer is responsible for day-to-day implementation of the MERP II project with communities on Ambon and Seram Islands.

Qualifications:
· Possess a relevant university degree or college diploma and relevant 2-3 years work experience.
· Experience working with communities and/or economic development projects.
· Fluency in English, both written and spoken, highly desired.
· Effective time management and organization skills including priority setting and responding to program needs.
