Build Change (www.buildchange.org) is an award-winning, international non-profit engineering company with post-earthquake reconstruction programs in Sumatra, Indonesia and Sichuan, China. Build Change specializes in earthquake-resistant housing reconstruction and
provides hands-on technical assistance and training directly to homeowners and builders during the rebuilding process.
To accomplish our vision, we believe that we have following positions to offer to the right persons, to be based in Padang, West Sumatra immediately:
1. Finance Officer
Qualifications
• S1 degree in finance, business, management, or related field
• At least 3 years experience in finance
• Proficiency with Quickbooks software and Office applications
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia
• Extraordinary organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Strong understanding of humanitarian principles
Program and Management Responsibilities as Finance Officer:
• Prepare and track bank transfers for varous payments
• Responsible for form and payment salary
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and monthly report
• Prepare and file vouchers with complete documentation
• Track budgets and prepare cash flow statements
• Implement Build Change's audit compliant procurement process
• Ensure internal control procedures are followed
• Ensure compliance with national tax and labor regulations
• Maintain the report of petty cash
• Manage the Weekly and Monthly Budget Reports
2. Monitoring + Evaluation Officer
Qualifications
• BA or BS from a top University in Architecture, Engineering,
Business or relevant work experience
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Experience in other social enterprise, engineering company, or
non-profit International organization, preferably in disaster
response or earthquake reconstruction
• Proven ability to complete tasks on a deadline
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency with internet, Excel, Word and other Office
applications
• Strong understanding of humanitarian principles
• Experiences demonstrating strong communication
and/ or leadership skills a plus
• Ability to work and live in post-earthquake environment
Program and Management Responsibilities as Monitoring + Evaluation Officer :
• Support Asia Programs Director to compile weekly, monthly and
quarterly impact monitoring data
• Conduct baseline surveys and exit surveys
• Compile reports on Build Change training programs, including
participant information, feedback forms, photos and narratives
• Compile success stories with written, still photo, and video
format,and prepare newsletter content and reports to Asia
Program Director,board, donors and other parties
• Assist with hosting Build Change visitors, board members, and
donors
• Support Asia Programs Director to expand and refine Build
Change monitoring and evaluation plan
• Support program team with research on building materials
costs and availability
• Support program team to create a functional filing system,
both electronic and paper, and ensure data is regularly
backed up
• With Asia Programs Director: brainstorm, propose and follow
through with implementing cost saving and impact generating
improvements to program logistics and structure
