International Federation is looking for candidates to be based in Padang, Indonesia for the
post of :
Finance Officer
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Management of Working Advance:
1. Monitor out standing Working Advances of delegate and national staff and
provide technical support as required.
2. Collect and analyze working advance report of delegate and local staff
and prepare journals for CODA entry.
3. Review overall impact of working advance at the end of each month and
advise senior finance officer to establish effective control on advances.
4. Arrange the payment of PMI working advances and make a follow-up with
PMI through programme managers to get the report back
Analysis of Delegate Housing Costs and Private Phone calls Recovery :
5. Analyze delegates house telephone and utilities and advise Finance
Assistant to book the expenses based on delegates occupency
6. Monitor and analyze private phone calls recovery from delegates (house
phone and Mobile)
Monthly Reports :
7. Assist Senior Finance Officer on month end closing and reporting
8. Produce outstanding working advance report by the end of each month and
coordinate with delegates and staff as required
9. Train and advise to local staff on the management of working advances
Technical Responsibilities :
10. Data processing in to CODA
11. Coordinate with other functional units and assist delegation staff to provide financial information and procedures
12. Any other responsibility as assigned by the line manager
13. Validation on requisitions with close coordination with Jakarta finance ensuring the availability of budget
14. Analyze all working advance reports submitted by delegates and national staff and validate the expenses ensuring correct coding and documentations.
Generating Financial Information
15. Provide financial information from Business Object to programme managers at field level as required
16. Assist programme delegate and staff on preparation and monitoring the budget
17. Follow-up budget vs expenditures on each month and share with the Programme Managers
Qualification & Experience
University Degree from relevant disciplineSelf-motivation to help others and work as a member of a team2 years relevant experience in financial managementExperience of working with a Red Cross National Society is preferredExperience of Systems and processes used in good businessExperience of project cycle using participatory methodologiesExperience in writing narrative and financial reportsHave a good capability in spoken; written English and computer skills
