Save the Children immediately mobilized staff and resources following
the earthquake in West Sumatra. Using pre-positioned supplies we were
able to reach affected children and their families with immediate life
saving supplies.
Based on our rapid assessments and in coordination with communities,
local government, other agencies and the United Nations we have
developed a plan to deliver a holistic humanitarian response. In each
community we work in we will deliver in three sectors: shelter
(including NFIs), child protection and education. We aim to reach
150,000 people in the worst affected districts of Agam and Pariaman,
West Sumatra, Indonesia. The response will last six months. Currently
Save the Children has an immediate need to fill various positions as
follow:
Program post:
* Education Manager (EM-WS)
* Child Protection Manager (CPM-WS)
* Shelter Manager (SM-WS)
* Health Manager (HM-WS)
* Operations Manager (OM-WS)
* M & E and Accountability Sepcialist (MEA-WS)
* Field M&E Accountability Officer (FMEA-WS)
* Program Manager (PM-WS)
* District Manager (Base: 1 Pariaman, 1 Lubuk Basung) (DM-WS)
* Reporting & Communications Specialist (RCS-WS)
Support post:
* HR and Administrative Coordinator (HAC-WS)
* Finance and Administrative Assistant (FAA-WS)
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor Degree in relevant social studies discipline, especially in management or related field. Master Degree is prefereble for Manager post level.
* Familiarity with the Indonesian basic Child Protection system and current issues and understanding of primary education teaching methodologies, especially active learning. (for Program post)
* Good interpersonal skills, good computer skill;
* Proficiency in written and spoken English;
* Preferable having working experience in INGO, NGO, international institutions or other related experience; min. 5 years for Manager level and 2 years for Officer level.
* Have experience in developing, maintaining and improving working relationships with local government and other NGOs
* Preferable having emergency response experience;
* Be able to work independently, under pressure and also an excellent team player;
* Demonstrated ability to work directly with children / young people and model appropriate one to one and group interactions;
* Cultural sensitivity and ability to work without regard to religious, ethnic and cultural differences.
