IFRC Nias is looking for a qualified person to fill the position as below;
IT/Telecommunication Officer in Gunungsitoli, Nias.
Key Task and Responsibilities
1. Conduct trips within Nias Island to install/repair IT and Radio Systems
2. Be responsible for the overall performance of the offices internet connection and
computer network
3. Monitor system performance and take necessary action to restore service
4. Perform installation and maintenance of wireless and wired LAN networks
5. Provide basic IT training on standard Federation Software/Hardware to staff
6. Make recommendations and proposal for system modifications and upgrades with a view to improving service availability
7. Work in close collaboration with the Banda Aceh Team to ensure optimum service
provision to all Federation and PNSs working in Nias Island
8. Establish and ensure effective working relationships with Delegates and Staff
9. Ensure effective working relationships with National Society counterparts and
leadership
10. Ensure effective working relationships with technical and service department at
regional level.
11. Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross/Red Crescent principles
12. Perform any other work related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in IT
- Minimum 2 (two) years experience in the same field
- In good mental and physical health
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- A high degree of competence in Teamwork
Commitment to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent
Movement; integrity and personal conduct; flexibility and adaptability;
initiative and direction and interpersonal skills will be advantage
