IOM Yogyakarta is looking for Information Management – Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant according to the term of reference below. Position Title : Information Management – Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant

General functions:
Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager / Head of Sub Office and in close coordination with related unit, the incumbent will be responsible for the following:
1. In coordination with other units, compile and track data of IOM Project Activities & location, and reflect in most suitable mapping format.
2. Compile and conduct analysis of primary and secondary data (in house or external research) that will be useful for IOM programmes and project planning activities
3. Provide technical advice to the program staff and managers, on the best suitable tools and methods for preparation and presentation of analysis and produced maps
4. Produce maps for planning and reporting making use of GIS and other suitable tools
5. Assist in developing suitable tools for sub-office filing and data sharing; assist in preparation of multiple reports and sit reps
6. Contribute to the development and implementation of surveys, tracking tools, and computer analysis tools for both quantitative and qualitative data that will be used for adjusting Programme implementation, improving the strategic focus of field operations, providing regular reporting on key issues as defined by the Project Manager/Head of Sub Office.
7. Provide inputs for preparation of database, survey and assessment templates
8. Contribute to the program monitoring of performance indicators and regular reporting systems by preparing data analysis, summary sheets and reports in accordance to program needs. For this he/she will use econometric models, simulations and other research methodology in compliance with PCM, ISO14000 other management and quality generally accepted norms.
9. Conduct regular site monitoring; in close coordination with Community/Partnership staff & the Engineers working in construction
10. Maintain close coordination with other Information Management in UN, IFRC, BPS, Shelter Cluster
11. In close coordination with other IOM Indonesia ITC staff; provide support in ITC functions including maintenance of internet solutions and trouble shooting at the duty station.
12. Maintain records of all ITC equipment, usage and servicing as needed
13. Ensure daily activities back up, filing of data and safeguarding of IOM’s program activities information in both hard and magnetic versions
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Desirable qualifications:
University degree in computer science or a combination of relevant education and professional experience, particularly in the areas of GIS management, data frames and data analysis. A minimum of 2 years experience in the use of MS software web-based and/or client-server database system implementations a distinctive advantage. Advance knowledge of MS Excel for data analysis and statistical reporting.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and hardship conditions, excellent teamwork and communication skills, cross-cultural and gender sensitivity. Able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate high level of initiative, perseverance and professional commitment to achieve high-quality results. Proven ability to handle confidential data in a professional, responsible and mature manner.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
