Work with people against poverty! Oxfam Hong Kong (OHK) is a member of the international confederation Oxfam and an independent development and relief agency based in Hong Kong. Its International Programme Unit is looking for talented, high calibre staff to join our anti-poverty work.
As a member of the Programme Support Team, s/he is responsible for the coordination of the unit’s monitoring and evaluation work; ensuring the quality and consistency of monitoring and evaluation work across programme areas and teams, and development and updating of the programme monitoring and evaluation framework, approaches, methodologies and relevant guidelines. In addition, s/he is required to liaise with partners and other allies in planning, implementing and assessing monitoring and evaluation, keep up to date with relevant developments in the field of programme/project monitoring and evaluation, with emphasis on assessment of impact and network with relevant individuals, organizations and institutions. S/He also has to organize relevant capacity-building events/process vis-à-vis partners as well as programme staff, ensure feeding into learning and accountability and assist in communicating results and impact.
Successful candidate MUST have the following requirements:
- 5+ years of solid work experience in participatory and rights-based development programmes and projects
- Hands-on experience in participatory approaches to planning, monitoring and assessment of development programme and projects, especially assessment of impact
- Experience in providing capacity-building and advisory support to programme officers and partners in monitoring and evaluation
- A recognized degree and commitment to Oxfam's approach to development
- Demonstrated ability to undertake heavy travel schedules and work in remote areas
- Facility in spoken and written English, excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent administrative skills, self-initiator but able to work in a team
This position will be based in Hong Kong without any expatriate package provided.
