JAKARTA
1. Health and Nutrition Advisor
The Health and Nutrition Advisor is
responsible for the technical quality of Mercy Corps’ health programs in Indonesia.
The Health and Nutrition Advisor will design, plan and monitor behavior change
programs to improve maternal and child health including nutrition, hygiene and water
and sanitation in collaboration with MC implementation teams. In addition, he/she is
responsible for creating and maintaining excellent government relations at the national,
provincial, district and sub district-levels.
The Health and Nutrition Advisor will lead new health program development
and represent Mercy Corps’ existing health programs in various fora when
required.
Qualifications:
M.D., MPH, or MA in community health or nutrition or equivalent and 7 years’
experience in community development.
At least 5 years experience working in maternal child health and nutrition programming using
participatory training methods. Technical background in public
health and nutrition.Proven expertise in adult
learning principles, early childhood development, and community health
education.Experience mobilizing community
groups.Experience managing multiple
project activities and leading and motivating a diverse team. Experience in community based
monitoring and evaluation and oversight of project goals, outputs, and
time frames. Demonstrated experience and
success with grants compliance and donor relations are vital, as are
budget planning, analysis, and monitoring skills. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills, multi-tasking, and organization skills. Fluent written and spoken
English.
2. Health and Nutrition Supervisor
The Health and Nutrition Program
Supervisor is responsible for oversight and management of all Mercy Corps
Indonesia health and nutrition programs. This position will focus on effective
implementation, ensuring that work plans, budgets, and Monitoring &
Evaluation plans are in place and tracked for all programs. He/she will directly hire and supervise the
program coordinators/managers for individual programs and provide mentoring and
leadership to the entire health team.
He/she will also work with the Health and Nutrition Advisor in
developing new projects and setting the strategic direction of Mercy Corps
Indonesia in health and nutrition programming.
Qualifications:
· Strong health background (i.e. MPH, MD, MSc)
· At least 5 years budget management experience for USAID, other USG funded and/or
UNICEF funded programming
· At least 5 years of demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff, build staff
capacity as well as excellent team-building and interpersonal skills
· 5-7 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility
· Knowledge of state-of-the-art health practices for maternal and child health programs
· Proven ability to develop and implement health program strategies
· Demonstrated skills in monitoring and evaluating programs, and using results to improve
program
· Familiar with the concepts of using data for decision-making
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer programs is required
· High level of English language oral and writing skills
3. Administrative Assistant – RW Siaga Plus +
The Administrative Assistant will organize and manage all administrative tasks for
activities within the program.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of administrative/secretarial experience is required;The
candidate must have strong communication, English speaking and writing
skills;S/he
should be very familiar with facilities and code of conduct in Jakarta and or
Bekasi;He/she
should have pleasant personality, be organized, efficient, proactive,
flexible and able to work under pressure and with short deadlines when
required;Proficiency
in Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer program are required.
